The views of Forcora and Monterecchio

This circular excursion starts from the Forcora Pass (1179 m), the only road pass in the Veddasca Valley

It extends for approximately 11 km with 480 metres of altitude difference, in a succession of sweet and evocative landscapes, perfect for those who like to walk without haste.

The trail winds along wooded slopes, highland meadows, and ancient mule tracks that connected Monterecchio's mountain pastures, once important for livestock farming and cheese production. Along the way, splendid views of Lake Maggiore and the Piedmont shore open up, with Monte Rosa as the backdrop.

In spring the meadows are dotted with crocuses, anemones and gentians, while in autumn the woods are lit up with intense yellows and reds.

Perfect for those seeking beauty and tranquility, without facing excessive elevation changes. A real "breath walk".
